Revolt Motors introduced two new electric motorcycles in the Indian market. The Revolt RV300 and the RV400. These two new products in the Indian market are the country's first AI-enabled electric motorcycles.

Both the RV300 and the RV400 are currently available only in Delhi and Pune. Bookings for both electric bikes can be done either through the brand's website, Amazon.in or at the company dealerships in the two cities. Booking amount for both the motorcycles are Rs 1,000, with deliveries said to begin sometime in September.

Before mentioning the differences between the two motorcycles, let's look at some of the common features between the two electric motorcycles.

Both electric motorcycles, the Revolt RV400 and RV300 come with LED headlamps, LED tail lights, fully-digital instrument cluster, inverted front forks, mono-shock suspension and disc brakes at either end. Both electric bikes also feature AI-enabled technology, offering a host of additional features as well.

Visual Differences

Both electric motorcycles offer almost identical in visual appearance. This includes a sculpted and sporty design. Both motorcycles come with a comfortable riding position and good ergonomics as well.

Although the RV300 does come with a slightly different fairings, body graphics, brand logo placement and paint schemes to help differentiate between the two models. The paint scheme on the RV300 consist of Neon Black and Smokey Grey. The Revolt RV400 is offered with Rebel Red and Cosmic Black.

Battery Pack & Range

Both electric motorcycles are powered by a lithium-ion battery pack. However, the battery on the RV300 is slightly smaller, rated at 60V/2.7kW while the RV400 gets a larger 72V/3.24kW battery. The Revolt RV300 is oriented more towards the commuter segment than the RV400.

The Revolt RV300 electric bike comes with a maximum range of 180km on a single charge. The electric motorcycle is available in three modes: Eco, Normal and Sport.

The Eco mode restricts the top speed to 25km/h while offering max range of 180km; Normal mode increases top speed to 45km/h while the range is brought down to 110km. The Sport mode on the other hand, reduces the range to just 80km while offering a top speed of 85km/h.

This range is in Eco mode, which limits the top speed to 25km/h. On Normal mode, the RV300 offers a range of 110km while increasing the top speed to 45km/h.

The Revolt RV400 also comes with the same set of riding modes. However the top speed and range is slightly different. The RV400 comes with a maximum range of 150km on a single charge in Eco mode, limiting its top speed to 45km/h. In Normal mode, the range reduces to 110km while top speed goes up to 65km/h. The Sport mode is the same as that of the RV300 with 80km of range and a top speed of 85km/h.

Specifications

The Revolt RV300 and the RV400 come with different electric motors as well. The RV300 gets a small 1.5kW electric motor, while the RV400 features a larger 3kW unit.

The suspension on both motorcycles are the same. The RV300 and RV400 electric bikes feature a USD forks up front and a fully-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking however is different. The RV300 comes with 240mm disc at the front and 180mm disc at the rear. The RV400, on the other hand, features 240mm at both ends. Both motorcycles further come with CBS as standard.

The Revolt RV300 is also slightly lighter by 7kg, compared to the RV400 weighing in at 108kg. The wheelbase, seat height and ground clearance also vary between the RV300 and the RV400.

The Revolt RV300 has a wheelbase of 1320mm with 225mm of ground clearance and a seat height of 826mm. The RV400 electric motorcycle has a longer wheelbase at 1350, along with a lower ground clearance of 215mm and a seat height of 814mm.

Pricing

Revolt Motors have introduced the two motorcycles with a unique payment scheme for their products in the Indian market. The company offers both the RV300 and RV400 electric motorcycles with an EMI-type monthly payment scheme.

The RV300 comes with a price of Rs 2999 per month. The base version of the RV400 is slightly costlier at Rs 3499 while the top-spec premium variant of the RV400 costs Rs 3999 per month. All these payments are to be paid directly to Revolt for a period of 37 months. The prices for the electric motorcycles includes all costs, including insurance and registration as well.
