Mahindra Gusto 110 CBS & 125 CBS Launched In India — Prices Start At Rs 51,000
Mahindra Two-Wheelers has launched the CBS version of its Gusto scooter in India. The Mahindra Gusto is available in both a 110cc and 125cc variants; both of which have been updated with Combi-braking system (CBS).
The Mahindra Gusto 110 is further available in two trims: DX and VX. The Mahindra Gusto DX 110 CBS is priced at Rs 50,996, The Gusto VX 110 CBS comes priced at Rs 55,660. This is an increase of Rs 2,800 and Rs 2,300 over the non-CBS versions of the DX and VX trims, respectively.
Similarly, the Mahindra Gusto 125 is available in a single VX trim. This is priced at Rs 58,000. This is an increase of Rs 2,400 over the non-CBS variant of the scooter. All prices mentioned above are ex-showroom (Delhi).
The updates have been brought in to allow the Gusto to comply with the mandatory safety norms in the country. These norms implemented from the 1st April 2019, mandate all two-wheelers below 125cc to come fitted with CBS (Combi-Braking System) as standard. While all two-wheelers above 125cc will feature at least a single-channel ABS as standard.
The Mahindra Gusto 110 CBS is powered by a 109cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. It produces 8bhp and 9Nm of torque; mated to a CVT transmission. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a coil type hydraulic set-up at the rear. Braking on the Gusto 110 is through drum brakes on either end.
The Mahindra Gusto 125 CBS is powered by a slightly more powerful 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. It produces 8.5bhp and 10Nm of peak torque. However, the brakes, suspension and other mechanicals are all identical to the Gusto 110.
The two scooters also come with a number of features as standard. Some of these include remote flip key, height adjustable seats, find-me lamps, guide lamps and a good amount of under-seat and front storage spaces.

The Mahindra Gusto is offered in both a 110 and 125cc offerings in the Indian market. The scooters are offered with a range of vibrant colour options, which help attract a number of customers. The scooter takes on rivals such as the Honda Activa (5G & 125), Suzuki Access 125, Hero Maestro Edge, Yamaha Ray-ZR and the TVS Ntorq 125 in the Indian market.
