2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R Bookings Commence: New Colour & Limited Numbers Only
Kawasaki has started accepting bookings for its 2020 Ninja ZX-14R motorcycle in India. The 2020 version will carry the same price tag as the 2019 model which is currently priced at Rs 19.70 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The Kawasaki dealers have also confirmed that the new bike will only be available in limited numbers and also the bookings will be open for a limited time only. The new bike will be available in an all-new paint scheme as well.
2020 Kawasaki ZX-14R will feature a dual-tone color scheme called Metallic Diablo Black/Golden Blazed Green. The new paint looks more appealing with more blacks areas on the bike, as compared to the current-gen model's Green rich paint scheme.
The 2020 ZX-14R will be sold in limited numbers because of the motorcycle featuring a BS-IV compliant engine. The company plans to clear off the stock well before the implementation of stricter BS-VI emission norms which will come into effect from April 1, 2020.
Apart from the new colour scheme the motorcycle will remain unchanged. However, there are rumors about 2020 Ninja ZX-14R will be the final iteration of the superbike, before Kawasaki gives it a complete makeover soon. The Ninja ZX-14R has been in the market since 2012 in its current form and is due for a major update from the company.
The Kawasaki ZX-14R is a massive motorcycle with dimensions reading 2170mm in length, 770mm in width, and 1170mm in height with a wheelbase of 1480mm. The ZX-14R's seat height is 800mm and sits 125mm above the ground.
Kawasaki ZX-14R is powered by a 1,441cc engine liquid-cooled in-line four-cylinder engine. The massive engine is capable of producing two power outputs 207.1bhp with ram air activated and 197.3bhp when not using the ram air. The engine produces 158.2Nm of torques as standard on both power modes.
The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The superbike also features Kawasaki's three-mode KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control System). It also features dual channel ABS for added safety as well.
The superbike's suspension duties are handled by a 43 mm Upside down fork at the front and a monoshock Ohlins unit at the rear, with adjustability for preload and rebound at both ends. Brakes on the superbike are handled by a dual 310 mm discs at the front and a 250 mm single rotor at the rear, both from Brembo.
In other news, Kawasaki is also offering with attractive discounts and benefits on their select range of models this festive season. The festive offer include benefits of up to Rs 85,000 which can be redeemed against RTO charges, ex-showroom price and accessories when you purchase a Kawasaki motorcycles. The models covered under this scheme includes the Ninja ZX-6R, Ninja 1000, Ninja 650, Ninja 400, Versys 650, Z650, and the Vulcan S.
Thoughts About The Kawasaki 2020 Ninja ZX-14R
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R is a superbike that everyone would like to get their hands-on. However, with its current form and a BS-IV engine the limited number strategy makes sense. The company needs to upgrade their line-up soon to make them comply with the upcoming stricter emission norms. The Ninja ZX-14R rival against the Suzuki Hayabusa; among other superbikes in the market.
