Jawa 42 Single Seat Modification Costs Rs 1,000: Perak Inspired Styling
A Jawa 42 owner has modified his motorcycle to make it look as close to the company's bobber styled Jawa Perak. The modifications cost the owner a grand total of Rs 1,000.
The modifications made to the Jawa 42 are nowhere close to what the Perak looks like but do give the roadster a different look. The stock seats have been replaced with a custom single piece seat, however they're missing the integrated tail light seats like those on the Perak.

In addition, the triangular side panels and the rear tyre-hugger that are Perak specific are missing in the modifications made to the Jawa 42. Modifications are minimalistic, and manage to give the motorcycle a moderately appealing look. No mechanical changes have been made to the motorcycle.
The Jawa 42 is powered by a 293cc single-cylinder liquid cooled engine that produces 27bhp of power and 28Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The Jawa 42 is priced at Rs 1.55 lakh, (ex-showroom, India).
The bobber styled Jawa Perak features a more powerful 334cc engine that produces 30bhp of power and 31Nm respectively. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle also features a mono-shock for a rear suspension, and features larger tyre profiles at the front and the rear. The Jawa Perak is priced at Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
In related news, the company recently announced that bookings for its flagship motorcycle will begin on 1 January 2020 and that deliveries will begin from 2 April 2020. Jawa will accept bookings for a three month period and will focus on achieving deliveries before re-opening bookings again.
Classic Legends, the company that owns the Jawa brand also intends to launch a second set of motorcycles under the Yezdi brand. There is no concrete information about when, but rumor has it that the company will launch the brand at some point during the last quarter of 2020.
Thoughts About The Jawa 42 Modified For Rs 1,000
Well, the modifications done are fairly good for a thousand bucks. The Jawa 42 in question certainly looks different. We're not sure if it looks better than the stock motorcycle, but we're sure the owner is happy.
