Jawa 42 Modified Into All-Black Cafe Racer — One Of The Classiest Customisations We Have Seen

Jawa Motorcycles is back in the Indian market and going by the number of bookings has been fairly successful as well. However, there is a long waiting period in most cities across India for customers to receive the vehicle. The waiting period in a few cities stretches to almost nine months and that is a long time to wait for a motorcycle.

However, the company has urged its suppliers to ramp up production and Jawa has also stepped on the gas and is delivering motorcycles to customers as soon as possible.

Kunal Khadse from Bangalore took delivery of his Jawa Motorcycle and soon after, sent it to Mumbai to get it modified.

Kunal Khadse chose Bombay Custom Works for the mod job. One look at pictures of the modified Jawa 42 is enough to make a motorcycle enthusiast drool. The modified Jawa 42 is called ‘Blak' for a reason - it quite literally is Black in colour.

The Jawa 42 in stock form is available only in six vibrant colours and no Black is not one of the six. Hence, Kunal Khadse decided to get it modified and got his motorcycle painted in a Matte Black shade.

The wheels, suspension, exhaust and the entire engine have all been coated in the matte black shade. The Jawa logo has been stickered on in a shade of gold. The Jawa decal is applied onto the fuel tank as well. Bombay Custom Works and Kunal Khadse didn't stop at just that.

There are quite a few other modifications that have been made to the Jawa 42. The front mudguard has been chopped and shortened on both ends. The stock Jawa 42 comes with an inverted fork and proper retro handlebars.

The Jawa Blak seen here though features a conventional telescopic fork up front and clip-on handlebars. The fork appears to have been taken off a Royal Enfield thunderbird and this modification appears to have increased the rake angle.

The retro headlamp has been stickered with an 'X' mark on it just to give it some aesthetic appeal. At the rear, the Jawa 42 is almost unrecognisable. The long seat, fender, tail-lamp and indicators have all been taken off.

What it comes with instead is a flat cafe-racer style seat with a custom-made cowl. Turn-signal indicators have been installed underneath the cowl and the tail lamp has been replaced by an LED strip. The stock twin-exhaust pipes further add to the aesthetic appeal of the mod-job.

Thoughts On Jawa 42 Modified Into Sporty All-Black Cafe Racer

The Jawa Blak is easily one of the classiest mod jobs we have seen in a while. It is also the first Jawa modification we have seen and kudos to Bombay Custom Works for pulling it off. We can expect to see more such modified Jawa motorcycles in the coming days as more customers receive their motorcycles. In the meantime, Jawa has launched official accessories for its motorcycles.
