Honda CB300R Sold Out In India — Receives Over 500 Bookings Within Two Months Of Launch
Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) launched their CB300R neo-cafe racer in the Indian market two months back. The new Honda CB300R is priced at Rs 2.41 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi).
Since its launch in the Indian market, Honda has received an incredible demand for the CB300R in the country. The Honda CB300R has been sold out within two months of its launch, recording booking numbers over 500 units. However, Honda has continued to keep the bookings for the Honda CB300R open.
The sales and the high demand of the CB300R is even higher than the brand's initial expectations at the time of launch. The Honda CB300R is the first neo-cafe streetfighter design motorcycle from the brand in the Indian market.
To recap, the Honda CB300R is powered by a 286cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing 31.4bhp and 27Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The Honda CB300R comes with a number of features including LED Headlamps, USD front forks, dual-channel ABS and of course, the 'Neo-Cafe Racer' styling. Honda also offers the CB300R with a range of official accessories and custom kits, further adding a unique and personalised touch to the motorcycle.
The Honda CB300R is imported into India as a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) unit and assembled at its facility in the country. It is the third motorcycle to be assembled in the market after the CBR 650 and the recently launched 2019 Africa Twin.
The Neo-Cafe racer style motorcycle is also sold exclusively through Honda's 22 premium 'Wing World' dealerships across the country. These premium dealerships are available in major cities spread across the country, such as Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bangalore and Cochin.
Honda recently started deliveries of the CB300R in the Indian market. The first batch of motorcycles will be delivered to customers in and around Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Haryana. The Honda CB300R already demands a waiting period of over three months in the country.
Thoughts On The Honda CB300R Sales In India
The Honda CB300R has been a major success for the brand in the Indian market. The sales and demand for the neo-cafe racer has beaten even the expectations of HMSI themselves. The Honda CB300R rivals the likes of the TVS Apache RR310, KTM 390 Duke, Yamaha R3, Bajaj Dominar 400 and the Mahindra Mojo.
