Honda Two Wheelers launched the much-awaited CB300R in India at Rs 2.41 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The new Honda CB300R is the Japanese brand's first 'Neo Sports Cafe' motorcycle sold in India and as the name suggests, it features a unique design language.
Bookings for the Honda CB300R were opened at the very beginning of January 2019. Now, reports say that the CB300R has crossed 400 units in bookings and is sold out for three months. In other words, the waiting period of the new Honda CB300R exceeds three months.
The CB300R is sold as a CKD (Completely Knocked-Down) product in the country through the brand's exclusive Honda Wing World outlets. It shares a lot of aesthetic details with the range-topping CB1000R+ naked superbike which is sold as a CBU (Completely Built Unit).
The CB300R is definitely a desirable option in the 300cc motorcycle segment in India. If you wish to buy the new Honda CB300R, you should definitely check out these important facts and figures (top speed, mileage, kerb weight, etc.).
Features such as a full-LED headlamp, USD forks, dual-channel ABS, Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), exposed frame and of course, the 'Neo Sports Cafe' styling are some of the main highlights of the Honda CB300R.
Powering the new Honda CB300R is a 286cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that makes 31.4bhp and 27.5Nm of torque. The same engine powers the 2015 'CBR300R' and is mated to a six-speed transmission.
The naked sports motorcycle is available in only two colours: Matte Axis Gray Metallic and Candy Chromosphere Red. The demand for the Honda CB300R is still going strong. At the moment, it is not that popular among the wider sphere of the Indian automotive market, but in the days to come, the Honda CB300R will reach a larger customer base.
Thoughts On The New Honda CB300R
The new Honda CB300R is definitely an interesting alternative to the likes of the TVS Apache RR310, Mahindra Mojo UT300 and BMW G 310 R; two main players in the premium 300cc motorcycle segment. Will the new CB300R become a game changer for Honda Two Wheelers in India? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
