Hero Electric Can Buy Your Old And Rusty Petrol Scooters — New Exchange Offer Announced

Hero Electric has announced a new exchange offer for petrol-powered scooters. You can exchange your old and rusty IC-engine scooters for a cleaner and silent Hero Electric product. The company is really keen on filtering out the polluting two-wheelers from Indian roads.
Hero Electric says that over five crore "old, polluting, petrol-guzzling" two-wheelers run on our roads and most of them are worth just scrap value. Studies have proved that the pollution caused by them are way more than the outgoing BS-IV two-wheelers. In addition to this, they are less fuel-efficient as well.
The electric two-wheeler company will offer a flat Rs 6000 bonus above the market value of such scooters, in a bid to accelerate electric mobility in the country. The new electric models from Hero promise a lower cost-of-living and a three-year warranty on the scooter and its battery. In the long run, this translates to around Rs 70,000 in savings.
The emission reduced by switching an old scooter for an electric alternative is equivalent to planting two trees, Hero Electric claims.
Shohinder Gill, CEO of Hero Electric shares, "India is at the cusp of evolving into one of the world's fastest-growing economies. To propel on this notion further, we need to rapidly adapt the electrically powered vehicles which will play a critical role in the future. Hero Electric is not just championing green transport mobility but also supporting the government's vision to fast track EV adoption in India."
The EV brand is conducting a national campaign over 20 Indian cities to promote and familiarise electric two-wheelers among the wider mass, along with their advantages over conventional scooters.
