Stage 7 results of 2019 Dakar Rally are out. All participants, regardless of the category, had a tough time going through the mixed terrains of the route. While the fastest contestants led the way on the flat off-road sections at the beginning of Stage 7, the tricky fesh-fesh, dunes and rough plateaus which came after slowed them down. The seventh stage of Dakar 2019 looped around San Juan de Marcona itself, for a total distance of 385km (62km liaison and 323km special). The route was a bit misleading to many since there was no sign of potential challenges at the very beginning. Dune formations pushed the participants to the limits for almost 50km in the Duna Grande and Duna Argentina sectors, before opening some faster stretches towards the end of the stage.
