BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS: Year-End Benefits Of Up To Rs 1 Lakh
German motorcycle manufacturer, BMW Motorrad is offering year-end benefits on its GS 310 R roadster and G310GS models in the country. The motorcycles are currently priced at Rs 2.99 lakh and Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The ex-showroom prices will now include the motorcycle, one year's worth of insurance, free road tax, free registration, and low-interest rates on financial loans. The company is also offering a three year, unlimited kilometer warranty for both, the G 310 R and the G310GS models.
Both the BMW G 310 R and the G310GS features a 313cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine that produces 34bhp of power and 28.4Nm of peak torque.
Both motorcycles come mated to a six-speed transmission, and both motorcycles features 41 mm upside-down forks at the front, and amono-shock at the rear.
Braking duties are handled by a 300mm disc brake at the front, and a 240mm disc brake at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is offered as a standard.
The BMW G 310 R roadster motorcycle competes with the KTM Due 390, the Bajaj Dominar 400, the Yamaha YZF R3, the Kawasaki Ninja 300, and the TVS Apache 310 RR.
The BMW G310GS competes with the Royal Enfield Himalayan, the Kawasaki Versys-X 300, and the soon-to-be launched KTM Adventure 390.
General Trivia
The G 310 R was BMW's first, modern, sub-500 cc bike, that was produced along with India based TVS Motor Company. In fact, the G 310 R shares its powertrain with the TVS Apache 310 RR, among other components.
The 310 twins were designed by BMW at their facility at Munich, Germany; but are manufactured and assembled at TVS's production facility at Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
Thoughts About The Benefits Worth Rs 1 Lakh Being Offered On The BMW 310 Twins
We actually expected BMW Motorrad to announce offers, benefits, and discounts at the beginning of December. The benefits worth Rs 1 lakh are a definite plus for those wanting to buy an entry level BMW motorcycle. We think the company will be able to increase sales over the period they are offering the discount.
