Benelli Imperiale 400 Deliveries Commence: Will Rival Royal Enfield Classic 350

According to Rushlane, the company has started deliveries of the motorcycle in India. Also, with 352 bookings in 23 days Benelli Imperiale 400 becomes the best-seller, with the highest bookings received by the brand in India.

The buyers looking to purchase the newly launched motorcycle can head to the company's official website and book the motorcycle for an advance amount of Rs 4,000. They can also choose to visit one of 24 dealerships across the country and book the motorcycle for the same advance amount as well.

The company has promised to increase their dealerships to 30 outlets across the country by the end of this year. With a great response from the Imperiale 400 motorcycle, Benelli has also promised to introduce new motorcycles to the India market soon — here are more details.

The Benelli Imperiale 400 features classic-retro looks with round-shaped headlamps, tail-lamps and turn-indicators. The retro look of the motorcycle is further carried to the fuel tank with a tear-drop shape.

The double-pod instrument cluster further adds to the old look of the motorcycle, and features a small TFT display which provides ODO-meter and trip-meter; among other information.

The Imperiale 400 is powered by a 374cc single-cylinder BS-IV compliant engine producing max power of 20.7bhp at 5500rpm and max torque of 29Nm at 4500rpm. The engine comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. We expect the company to launch the motorcycle with BS-VI complaint engine sometime early next year.

The suspension duties on the retro-motorcycle are handled by a 41mm telescopic forks at the front, and a dual-shock absorbers with adjust for preload at the rear. Braking is handled through a 300mm disc at the front, and a 240mm disc at the rear. It also comes equipped with a dual-channel ABS for improved braking on the motorcycle.

The company is offering the Imperiale 400 with a three-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty as standard. The motorcycle is also offered with complimentary service for the first two years. The company is also offering the Imperiale's customers with an optional Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for a hassle-free ownership experience.

The Benelli Imperiale 400 rivals the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Bullet 350, Jawa 350 and the Forty-two. However, the Imperiale 400 is a good 11 kilograms heavier than its main rival theRoyal Enfield Classic 350.
