Benelli Imperiale 400 Bookings Open Ahead Of Expected Launch In Late-October
Benelli India is all set to launch its latest offering, the Imperiale 400 in the Indian market. The Benelli Imperiale 400 will go on sale in the Indian market on the 25th of October. Ahead of its launch in the Indian market, the company has started accepting bookings for the motorcycle.
Benelli has announced the start of pre-bookings for the Imperiale 400 in the Indian market. The motorcycle can be booked for an amount of Rs 4000. Deliveries for the Imperiale 400 will begin during Diwali. Bookings can be made either online or through any of the company dealerships across India.
The Benelli Imperiale 400 will be imported into India via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route. It will also localise most of its components to allow the company to price the motorcycle competitively in the market.
The Imperiale 400 is powered by a 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. It produces 19bhp at 5500rpm and 28Nm of torque at 3500rpm, mated to a five-speed gearbox. The suspension is handled by standard telescopic forks at the front and dual-shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is through single discs at either end, supported by a dual-channel ABS as standard.
In terms of features, the Benelli Imperiale 400 is offered with a single-piece handlebar, twin-pod instrument cluster, low-slung chrome-finished exhaust, split-seats, a retro-styled 12-litre fuel tank and chrome spoke wheels.
The Benelli Imperiale 400 once launched in India is expected to be available in a range of three colour options: Black, Red and Chrome. Benelli will also be offering the motorcycle with a standard three-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty as well.
The company currently sells five models in the Indian market. This includes the 302R, TNT300, TNT 600i, TRK502 twins and their most recent introduction, the Leoncino 500. The company is also working aggressively to expand dealer networks and customer touchpoints in India. Benelli is aiming at launching 60 new dealerships in India by end-2020.
Thoughts On The Benelli Imperiale 400 India Launch
The Benelli Imperiale 400 will be the latest addition from the Italian bike manufacturer in the country. Once launched, the Imperiale 400 will rival the likes of the Royal Enfield 350cc offerings and the Jawa models.
In terms of pricing, we expect Benelli to offer the Imperiale 400 in the range of around Rs 2 - 2.5 lakh, ex-showroom.
