According to reports, the new Pulsar RS200 Dual Channel ABS will be priced at Rs 1.43 lakh (ex-showroom, India), just a Rs 1,000 more than the current-generation RS200. Considering the price, Bajaj will most likely discontinue the current-generation RS200 motorcycles.

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 dual-channel ABS variant will feature the same 199cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder BS-IV compliant engine that produces 24.5bhp of power and 18.6Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox, and will not feature a slipper clutch.

A thousand rupees more for a dual-channel ABS unit is brilliant. Bajaj has always been, and is the biggest player in the mass market game. Pricing the RS200 just right will ensure that the motorcycle sells. What they really need to do is upgrade to BS-VI. One would have expected the upgrade considering they took forever to carry an ABS upgrade.
