Bajaj Pulsar 180F Neon Edition Launched In India At Rs 87,450

Indian motorcycle manufacturer Bajaj has launched the all-new Pulsar 180F Neon Edition in India. The Pulsar 180 is priced at Rs 87,450 ex-showroom (New Delhi). The Pulsar 180F brings the styling of the more powerful 220F to the Pulsar 180 lineup as Bajaj looks to push sales even further upwards.

The Bajaj Pulsar 180F Neon Edition is powered by the same engine as the regular Pulsar 180. The 178.6cc air-cooled, DTS-i engine cranks out 17 bhp of power at 8,500 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine transfers power to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox.

To bring the Pulsar 180F to a stop, Bajaj has fitted the motorcycle with disc brakes on both wheels. The front disc brake has a diameter of 260mm. The unit at the rear is smaller by 30mm and has a diameter of 230mm. The brakes are assisted by ABS.

To take care of the rough stuff, the Pulsar 180F Neon sports conventional forks up front along with gas-charged twin shocks at the rear. The rear shocks feature five levels of adjustment.

In terms of design, the Pulsar 180F looks like someone took a 220F and stuck it in a Xerox machine and shrunk it down to 90 per cent of the size of the original. The front features the small fairing seen on the Pulsar 220F though it does feature some rather cool orange highlights. These highlights can also be seen on the sides of the bike and on the various Pulsar and 180 badges seen on the sides of the bike.

The new Pulsar 180F also carries over its larger sibling's headlamp design. Along with the design of the headlamps, the new Pulsar 180F has also borrowed the lighting setup from the 220F including the Projector headlamp that first got everyone buzzing about the larger bike.

Bajaj is also getting ready to bring out the updated version of its flagship motorcycle — the Dominar 400. The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 brings with it an updated design along with a number of improvements such as a new double barrel exhaust, 43mm usd forks and a more powerful 373cc engine that now produces 39.4bhp and 34mm of torque.
