Bajaj Increases Prices Of Pulsar 150 & Dominar 400 — Up To Rs 6000 Hike In Prices

Bajaj Auto has increased prices of its entire Pulsar 150 range in the Indian market. The price hike varies between Rs 479 to Rs 2980 for the Pulsar 150. This includes three variants: Neon, Single-disc ABS and twin-disc ABS.

This isn't it however, Bajaj has also increased the prices of its flagship Dominar 400 offering in the country. The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400, launched earlier this year in March has received a hike of Rs 6000 as well.

The revised prices of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 range now starts at Rs 71,200 for the Neon; an increase of Rs 2,950 from Rs 68,250.

The Bajaj Pulsar 150 single-disc ABS and twin-disc ABS gets a smaller increase of Rs 479 and Rs 499. The new prices of the two motorcycles is now Rs 84,960 for the single-disc ABS and Rs 88,838 for the twin-disc ABS. All prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).

The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400, on the other hand, receives the highest price hike of Rs 6000. The 2019 model was launched earlier this year at a price of Rs 1.74 lakh. The flagship motorcycle is now available with a price tag of Rs 1.80 lakh. Again, all prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).

Apart from the hike in prices, all motorcycles remain unchanged otherwise. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 range continues to be powered by the same 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. It produces 13.8bhp and 13.4Nm of torque; mated to a five-speed gearbox.

The Dominar 400 is powered by a 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. It produces 37bhp and 34Nm of torque; mated to a six-speed gearbox. The Dominar 400 comes with inverted front forks and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking is handled by a 320mm disc up front and a 230mm disc at the rear, supported by ABS as standard.

Thoughts On The Bajaj Price Hike In India

Bajaj hasn't stated any reason for the hike in prices. However, the new prices for the Pulsar 150 and Dominar 400 will be reflected immediately. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 rivals the likes of the Yamaha FZ-S, Honda CB Unicorn and KTM Duke 125. The Bajaj Dominar 400, on the other hand, rivals the KTM Duke 390, BMW G 310 R, TVS Apache RR310 and the Honda CB300R in the Indian market.
