Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon Launched In India With A Starting Price Of Rs 64,000
Bajaj Auto has launched the Pulsar 125 Neon in the Indian market. The new Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon comes in two variants and has a starting price of Rs 64,000, ex-showroom (Delhi). The Pulsar 125 Neon is offered in either a drum brake or disc brake variant. The higher-spec disc brake variant has a price tag of Rs 66,618, ex-showroom (Delhi).
The new Bajaj Pulsar 125 neon will sit below the Pulsar 150 in the brand's product lineup in the country. The Pulsar 125 neon will be offered in a range of three colours: Neon Blue, Solar Red and Platinum Silver (all on a matte black paint scheme).
Sarang Kanade, President, Bajaj Auto, stated:
"We are excited to bring out the Pulsar in the 125cc variant. The new Pulsar 125 Neon will open up a new segment targeting the premium commuters who have always wanted to buy a sporty motorcycle with outstanding performance, style, and thrill at an amazing price point."
The Bajaj Pulsar 125 neon is powered by a 124cc DTS-i single-cylinder air-cooled engine. It produces 11.8bhp at 8500rpm and 11Nm of peak torque at 6500rpm. The engine comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox as standard.
The launch of the Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon is to offset the rising costs of other models in the brand's product lineup. This rising cost is due to the mandatory safety updates, requiring all two-wheelers below 125cc to feature CBS (Combi-Braking System) and all those above to offer ABS as standard. The prices of the models will also increase further in the future due to the upcoming BS-VI emission norms of 2020, mandatory for all vehicles sold in India.
Bajaj recently increased the prices of most of its Pulsar 150 models in the Indian market. The launch of the Pulsar 125 is meant to offer the same DNA, yet be more affordable to the customers — here are further details regarding the Pulsar 150 price hike in India.
Thoughts On The Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon
The Bajaj Pulsar 125 offers customers a more affordable option in the Indian market. The Bajaj 125 neon will compete against the likes of the KTM Duke 125, Yamaha FZS and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V in the Indian market.
