Bajaj Auto Confirms November Launch For Husqvarna Twins — And So Our Watch Begins

Bajaj Auto has officially announced that the Husqvarna range of motorcycles will be launched in India during this year's festive season — we assume Diwali. Both motorcycles have been spotted in the middle of tests multiple times. The Vitpilen and the Svartpilen may see India specific changes to suit market conditions in the country.

When asked by MoneyControl about the two wheeler manufacturer's plans for 2019, Rakesh Sharma, Chief Commercial Officer, Bajaj Auto, said, "The market will see a lot of action beginning June. We already had a couple of introductions in the last two months."

"There has been an upgrade to the Dominar and the Avenger. Across the spectrum over the next 3-4 months the market will see 3-4 launches. These will be on smart innovations but not revolutionary. These will become the primary drivers of growth," he added.

Mr Sharma also said, "We are on track with Husqvarna bikes and they will be launched in the middle of the year. It could be September-November period because that's also when the festival sales peak. We have to make sure it has an impact. We are on track with that."

The Husqvarna Vitpilen and Svartpilen 401 will be built on the KTM Duke 390's platform but will feature design, style and ergonomic differences. The Vitpilen 401 will sport a cafe racer design featuring clip on handlebars, and rear-set foot pegs. The Svartpilen 401 will sport a Scrambler styled design featuring a high-set handlebar, and forward mounted foot pegs, giving it a more upright rider position.

Thoughts About The Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 And The Husqvarna Svartpilen 401

Like we said earlier, the Husqvarna Twins are worth the wait! They look twice as aggressive as the first generation KTM Duke 390, and they look like they have been through a weight loss program, followed rather quickly by performance training. We shall wait, patiently. And when the twins arrive, we will have one of the first 10 machines that enter the Indian market.
