UM Renegade Duty Ace first look review: UM Motorcycles has launched the new Renegade Duty Ace cruiser in India at the Auto Expo 2018.
UM Motorcycles launched the new Renegade Duty Ace in India at the Auto Expo 2018. The UM Renegade Duty Ace is introduced in the country with a price tag of Rs 1.10 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The UM Renegade Ace sports a unique design with a removable rear seat cowl. Similar to the Renegade Duty S, the Duty Ace also features a rugged design. UM Renegade Duty Ace Design
The overall design of the UM Renegade Duty Ace is similar to the Duty S but with few changes. The Renegade Duty S sports a classic round headlamp with a cowl which gives the cruiser a sporty look. The chunky front tyre and telescopic forks add to the rugged look of the UM Renegade Duty Ace.
The UM Renegade Duty Ace features a sleek front mudguard finished in a dual-tone colour which barely covers the front tyre. The cruiser gets a sloping fuel tank with red and white strips which distinguishes it from the Duty S. The side panel is also finished in white colour with the Ace branding. The UM Renegade Duty Ace also gets a smaller seat with a rear seat cowl which can be removed to accommodate a pillion.

The tail section of the UM Renegade Duty Ace features a cowl finished in dual-tone colours, chopped mudguard, classic exhaust muffler with a chrome cover, sleek LED tail light and a chunky tyre. The alloy wheels, suspension and the engine, are finished in the black colour which gives an aggressive look to the UM Renegade Duty Ace cruiser. The bar-end mirrors add to the classic look of the cruiser.

UM Renegade Duty Ace Engine Details
The UM Renegade Duty Ace draws power from an all-new 223cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled, producing 16bhp and 17Nm of torque. The engine comes coupled to a 5-speed gearbox which transmits the power to the rear wheel via chain drive.
UM Renegade Duty Ace Features
The UM Renegade Duty Ace is equipped with premium features such as a new digital-analogue instrument cluster with digital display for the fuel gauge, gear position indicator, odometer and trip meter. The cruiser also gets LED lights on the front forks to improve the visibility at night. The motorcycle is tall and has a ground clearance of 180mm.
The UM Renegade Duty Ace features 41mm conventional telescopic forks with black covers and twin-hydraulic spring suspension at the rear. Braking duties are handled by 280mm two-piston calliper at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The UM Renegade Duty Ace is shod with 17-inch alloy wheel at the front and 15-inch wheel at the rear.

The UM Renegade Duty Ace is a uniquely designed cruiser from the American brand which leans towards an off-roading motorcycle. In India, the UM Renegade Duty Ace will lock horns with the likes of Bajaj Avenger 220 and even the Suzuki Intruder. But with the rugged looks, the Renegade Duty Ace could also eat into the sales of the Royal Enfield Thunderbird.
