Termignoni Reveals Performance Exhaust For Royal Enfield Himalayan
Italian performance exhaust manufacturer Termignoni has revealed a new slip-on exhaust system for the 2018 Royal Enfield Himalayan. The Himalayan becomes the only Royal Enfield motorcycle to get a dedicated exhaust system from Termignoni.
The new Termignoni exhaust for the Royal Enfield Himalayan is made out of stainless steel and gets a black rear cap. The new exhaust is lighter than the stock exhaust and reduces the kerb weight of the Himalayan by 2kg. This, in turn, improves the performance of the bike.
With the Termignoni slip-on exhaust, the Royal Enfield Himalayan's power output increases by 0.7bhp while the torque is bumped by 1.65Nm. Overall, the performance and the off-roading capability of the motorcycle will improve as compared to the stock bike.
As per the performance figures from Termignoni, the Royal Enfield Himalayan develops 23.7bhp and 31.9Nm of torque with the new performance exhaust. The Himalaya with the stock exhaust produces 23bhp and 30.8Nm of torque. Note that these power figures are developed at the wheel.
The new Termignoni performance exhaust for Royal Enfield Himalayan features the legendary metallic logo on the conical sleeve. The upswept exhaust design aids in improved off-roading performance and water wading capabilities.
The new performance exhaust system for the Himalayan consists of a silencer, aluminium spacer, washer silent block, spacer silent block, washer 8×24, self-locking nut M8, screw M8x30 and metal clamp.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan draws power from a 411cc single-cylinder, oil/air-cooled engine producing 24.5bhp and 32Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The kerb weight of the motorcycle stands at 182kg. The Himalayan is the most affordable adventure motorcycle in India.
Thoughts On The Termignoni Exhaust For Royal Enfield Himalayan
The Himalayan becomes the only Royal Enfield motorcycle to get a performance exhaust system from Italian firm Termignoni. The overall performance of the Himalayan increases with the slip-on exhaust. But the exhaust is only available in Europe and there are no importers in India.
