Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X And 500X Launch Date: Expected Price, Specifications & Features
Royal Enfield Thunderbird X launch date revealed.
Royal Enfield is all set to launch the much-anticipated Thunderbird 350X and the Thunderbird 500X in India on February 28, 2018. The Thunderbird X models had earlier been spotted at a dealership stockyard at the end of 2017. Both the bikes sport bright-coloured tank and blacked-out mechanicals paint jobs and are likely to share the engine and gearboxes of the standard models.
The new Royal Enfield Thunderbird X variants feature several changes that set it apart from the regular Thunderbird range, such as new handlebars and seats. The new Thunderbird X range features black alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres, while the engine casing gets a matte black finish instead of silver see in the standard range.
Like the standard Thunderbird, the X range features the same headlamp unit with LED daytime running lights and the new bikes also borrowthe LED tail-light as well.
Making a comeback with the Thunderbird X on Royal Enfield motorcycles for the first time since the 1984Fury 175 are alloy wheels. The new Thunderbird 350X & 500X both get19-inch black alloy wheels. Braking duties will be carried out by disc brakes at the front as well as at the rear. However, ABS is unlikely to be offered on the new RE bikes.

Visually, the Thunderbird 350X and the 500X are identical and get a blacked out headlamp with LED DRLs and come equipped with a new, shorter handlebar compared to the cruiser style handlebars on the standard model. The semi-digital twin-pod instrument console also gets the blackout treatment but also features chrome trim as well.
The most significant change is the all-new seat, a single-piece unit unlike the split seat on the standard Thunderbird range. However, the pillion seat on the Thunderbird X range does not get a backrest.
The design of the grab rail is quite interesting, it's integrated next to the pillion seat and ends up in the taillight unit. The exhaust and the front telescopic fork are also finished in matte black as well as the top and bottom ends of the rear dual shock absorbers.
The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X will be available in red and white paint schemes, while the Thunderbird 500X will be offered in yellow and blue. We expect the new Royal Enfield Thunderbird X range to be priced slightly higher than the standard range, so expect an increase in the price of around Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000.
