Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X ABS Launched In India; Priced At Rs 1.60 Lakh
Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X ABS model launched in India. Royal Enfield has introduced the Thunderbird 350X ABS model in the Indian market. The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X ABS is priced at Rs 1.60 lakh, ex-showroom (Bangalore).
Bookings for the Thunderbird 350X ABS model is now open across all company dealerships in India. The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X ABS model can be booked for an amount of Rs 5,000. Depending on the stock available with the company dealers, the model will be delivered within 15 days of booking.
Apart from the addition of the ABS, the overall design and features of the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X ABS remain unchanged. The overall performance of the motorcycle also remains the same, apart from the improved braking due to the availability of ABS.
The Thunderbird 350X ABS continues to draw power from its 346cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 19.8bhp and 28Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X ABS comes equipped with 41mm telescopic front forks and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. The rear suspension also comes with a five-way adjustable preload function.
The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X ABS rides on multi-spoke 19 and 18-inch tyres at the front and rear, respectively. Braking is handled by a single 280mm disc at the front while the rear gets a 240mm ventilated disc. Both the front and rear discs are now supported by ABS as standard.
The Thunderbird 350X is targeted towards a much younger audience and is available in a range of two vibrant colours: Roving Red and Whimsical White.
Compared to the standard model, the Thunderbird 350X comes with a more sporty riding position, flat handlebars, split grab rails, LED projector headlamps and a 20-litre fuel tank.
Royal Enfield is aggressively introducing more safety features on their models during this year's festive season. The Chennai-based company will soon come across stiff competition in the segment as Jawa Motorcycles is about to re-enter the Indian market.
The first products from Jawa will be a 300cc and 350cc model. The motorcycles have already been spied testing multiple times while unofficial bookings have already begun, ahead of its launch on 15th November.
Thoughts On The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X ABS
Royal Enfield has introduced ABS on the Thunderbird 350X in India. The introduction of ABS on the models is part of the new government rule mandating the safety feature for motorcycles above 125cc.
Royal Enfield also introduced the Bullet 350 with rear disc brakes. However, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 with the rear discs, still misses out on ABS for now.
