2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS Launched In India; Priced At Rs 2.98 Lakh
2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS launched In India: Kawasaki has launched the 2018 Ninja 300 ABS in the Indian market. The new 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS comes with an affordable price tag of Rs 2.98 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
The 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS features new body graphics and colour options and also gets ABS; an essential safety feature. The Ninja 300 ABS utilises locally sourced parts and as a result, the new 2018 version of the Ninja 300 becomes cheaper by Rs 62,000 than the outgoing model.
The 2018 version of the Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS is available in two colour options: Lime Green/Ebony and Candy Plasma Blue. Other prominent design elements include Ninja branding on the fairing, dual headlamp setup and sharp front end with a windscreen to reduce wind buffeting.
The 2018 Ninja 300 ABS features MRF Tyres and Endurance brakes. The ride height of the bike is lowered by 5mm and the kerb weight of the Ninja 300 has gone up by 7kg and stands at 179kg. Apart from that the overall design of the bike remains unchanged.
The 2018 avatar of the Ninja 300 ABS draws power from the existing 296cc parallel-twin cylinder engine that produces 38bhp and 27Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox assisted by a slipper clutch.
The new Kawasaki Ninja 300 is equipped with 37mm telescopic forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 290mm petal disc with dual piston callipers at the front and 220mm petal disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is offered as standard.
Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors, Yutaka Yamashita said, "As per Kawasaki's product portfolio Ninja 300 is entry level sports bike. We have observed that customers start with Ninja 300 and then upgrade to the next class. Therefore, Ninja 300 happens to be our best-selling product in India because of affordable price."
Thoughts On The Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS
Kawasaki has finally launched the localised Ninja 300 with the safety net of ABS. The 2018 avatar of the Ninja 300 remains identical to the outgoing model except for the new colours and decals. The mechanical components also remain the same. The 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 rivals the likes of KTM RC 390, TVS Apache RR 310, Yamaha R3 and the Benelli 302R.
