Auto Expo 2018: Honda X-Blade Adventure unveiled. Honda has unveiled the new X-Blade Adventure at the 218 Auto Expo. The X-Blade adventure is based on the X-Blade commuter motorcycle and features only cosmetic updates to give it an adventure motorcycle look. The Honda X-Blade will be slotted between the CB Unicorn 160 and CB Hornet 160R.
The Honda X-Blade Adventure features several new components to make it touring-friendly. The adventure motorcycle gets a large windscreen to avoid wind buffeting at high speed and crash guard. Another prominent feature of the X-Blade Adventure is the luggage rack at the rear which can easily accommodate a top box.
Other cosmetic updates on the Honda X-Blade Adventure includes faux carbon-fibre accent, matte grey colour scheme with camouflage graphics on the headlamp cowl and tank shrouds. The yellow rim stickers and ‘X' branding on the tank extensions and rear cowl render an aggressive look to the motorcycle.

Other features of the X-Blade remains identical to the standard X-Blade with a robo-face LED headlamp, razor-edged tail lamp, fully-digital instrument cluster, engine cowl and rear tyre hugger. The overall design is sharp and sporty, but it misses out on functional updates such as long-travel suspension, spoke wheels and off-road tyres.
The Honda X-Blade Adventure draws power from the same 162.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 13.93bhp and 13.9Nm of peak torque. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The same engine is also deployed in the newly unveiled X-Blade commuter motorcycle.
Going by the updates on the X-Blade Adventure motorcycle, it looks like Honda might offer the Adventure variant as an additional accessory for the standard model. Apart from that, the other mechanical components such as telescopic front forks, rear monoshock suspension and disc and drum brake remain identical to the X-Blade commuter motorcycle.
