Hero Xtreme 200R unveiled in India. The unveiling of the Hero Xtreme 200R in India sees the arrival of the production-spec variant of the Xtreme 200S concept seen at Auto Expo 2016.
Hero Xtreme 200R Engine, Specifications & Mileage
The Hero Xtreme 200R for India is powered by an all-new 200cc air-cooled engine that produces 18.1bhp @ 8,500rpm and 17.2Nm of torque @ 6,000rpm. The engine features a balancer shaft to cut vibrations and sends power to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox. The Hero Xtreme 200R returns a mileage of 39.9kpl as per the World Motorcycle Test Cycle.
The Hero Xtreme 200R features a diamond frame chassis with 37mm telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock at the rear. The Xtreme 200R also features a single 276mm disc brake and a 220mm disc at the rear. The front disc brake is complemented by single-channel ABS (an optional extra).
The new Hero Xtreme 200R gets 17inch alloys with the front wheel sporting a 100/80 R17 tyre and the rear shod with a 130/70 R17 unit.
The design of the new Hero Xtreme 200R for India is mostly an evolution of the styling seen on the Xtreme 200S concept from Auto Expo 2016. The front end is dominated by the large headlamp unit above which sit two angular LED position lights.
The Hero Xtreme 200R also features a combination instrument cluster with an analogue rev counter and digital screen which displays the speed and other information needed by the rider.
On the sides, the muscular fuel tank features a dual tone Xtreme graphics that runs across it. The new Hero Xtreme 200R for India also gets air vents on the front cowl, fuel tank and the belly pan to help improve engine cooling. The seat height of the Xtreme 200R is at 795mm.
The rear end of the Hero Xtreme 200R looks extremely sharp as the rear fender is short and sleek. The LED tail lights give the Hero Xtreme 200R a distinct look from the rear and the bike also features split grab handles. The new Hero Xtreme 200R will be available in five different colours.
