BMW G 310 R And G 310 GS Launch Highlights: Prices Start At Rs 2.99 Lakh
BMW Motorrad is all set to launch the G 310 R and G 310 GS in the country. The BMW G 310 R is a naked streetfighter while the G 310 GS is an adventure motorcycle. Both the BMW G 310 R and the G 310 GS were showcased at the Auto Expo 2018.
The BMW G 310 R is an entry-level naked motorcycle and features an aggressive design inspired from the bigger motorcycles such as the BMW S1000R. The bike features tank shrouds, stepped-up seat and sleek tail design.
The BMW G 310 R is equipped with 41mm upside down forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. Braking duties are handled by 300mm disc up front and 240mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS. The bike gets 17-inch alloy wheels at both the ends and the kerb weight stands at 158.5kg.
The BMW G 310 GS is an adventure motorcycle and the overall design is inspired from the bigger GS motorcycles. The BMW G 310 GS is based on the same platform as the G 310 R.
On the design front, the BMW G 310 GS features a windscreen, beak-shaped front fender and bold GS graphics on the fuel tank. The motorcycle will be offered in exciting three dual-tone colours: Racing Red, Pearl White Metallic, and Cosmic Black.
The BMW G 310 GS also comes with 41mm inverted forks up front and monoshock suspension at the rear. But the suspension offers more travel as compared to the G 310 R. The G 310 GS also gets a bigger 19-inch front wheel and dual-channel ABS with switchable option. The kerb weight of the adventure bike stands at 169.5kg.
The BMW G 310 R and the G 310 GS draws power from the same 313cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 34bhp and 28Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The BMW G 310 R is capable of reaching a top speed of 145km/h while the G 310 GS has a claimed top speed of 143km/h. Both the bikes are expected to return a mileage of around 30km/l.

The BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS can accelerate from 0-50km/h in just 2.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 143km/h.

The BMW twins feature multi-function instrument cluster with LCD display that offers a wide range of information.

The BMW twins feature a 313cc water-cooled, single-cylinder engine with backward-tilted cylinder in open-deck design. The cylinder head in turned by 180 degrees.

The 313cc water-cooled, single-cylinder engine produces 33.5bhp at 9,500rpm and 28Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
