Bajaj Pulsar 150 Classic Launched In India — Priced At Rs 67,437
Bajaj has just launched the Pulsar 150 Classic variant in India. The new Bajaj Pulsar 150 Classic is priced at Rs 67,437, ex-showroom (Mumbai).
Bajaj Auto has recently launched the Pulsar' Classic 150' variant in India. The Bajaj Pulsar Classic 150 is priced at Rs 67,437, ex-showroom (Mumbai).
According to Autocar India, the new variant is based on the 2018 Pulsar 150. However, the new 'Classic' variant skips a few features offered on the standard 2018 motorcycle. Some of the missing features include body graphics, rear disc brakes, split seats and tank extensions.
The Bajaj Pulsar Classic 150 is Rs 10,118 cheaper than the twin-disc variant of the motorcycle. This makes it the second most affordable motorcycle after the 135LS with the Pulsar tag.
The Classic 150 offering will only be available in a black paint scheme. The motorcycle also features certain blacked-out components such as the alloy wheels. The styling of the Pulsar 150 Classic is similar to the first generation Pulsar, launched back in 2006.
The Bajaj Pulsar 150 Classic has not been updated on the company's website. However, it is reported to arrive in dealerships in a week's time.
Mechanically, the Classic 150 offering will remain unchanged. The motorcycle will still use the same 149cc, single-cylinder engine. This engine produces 14bhp and 13.4Nm of torque, mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Other bits such as the frame and suspension also remains unchanged. The motorcycle uses twin-telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties handled by a 240mm front disc and 130mm drum brakes at the rear. The Pulsar 150 Classic still misses out on the ABS.
Thoughts On The Bajaj Pulsar 150 Classic
Bajaj launched the Pulsar 150 Classic to make the motorcycle more accessible to buyers. They also hope to increase sales of the Pulsar 150 in Tier-III cities with the new Classic variant. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 Classic directly competes against the likes of the Honda Unicorn 150 and the Hero Achiever 150.
