Spanish Rider Oriol Mena Joins Hero MotoSports Team Rally
Spanish rider Oriol Mena Valdearcos has joined Hero MotoSports Team Rally.
Spanish rider Oriol Mena Valdearcos has joined Hero MotoSports Team Rally to represent the team in the world's toughest motorsport event, the 2018 Dakar Rally.
In their second year, Hero MotoSports is looking to expand their performance horizon. The team has also started an initiative to identify and nurture new talents and turn them into professional rally riders.
The first rider under this initiative is the Spanish talent, Oriol Mena Valdearcos He has over 13 years of experience in the World Enduro Championship and 14 years in the Spanish Enduro Championship.
Oriol has been the Enduro World Champion in 2009 and has also won International Six Days Enduro with the Spanish Trophy Team in 2007, 2009 and 2010. He has also done two rallies Sardegna Rally in Italy and Merzouga Rally in Morocco.

Hero MotoSports Team Rally was formed in April 2016 through a strategic partnership between Hero MotoCorp and German off-road racing expert, Speedbrain GmbH. The team finished in an impressive 12th place in the 2017 edition of the Dakar Rally.
Team Manager, Hero MotoSports Team Rally, Wolfgang Fischer said, "After the first year with Hero MotoSports, we are happy to have the chance to work with another promising rider, Oriol Mena, who we know since many years in the off-road sport."

Oriol Mena Valdearcos will join Joaquim Rodrigues and CS Santosh to represent the Hero MotoSports Team Rally at the 2018 Dakar Rally. The team has already commenced preparations for the world's most grueling rally and is aiming for a strong result.
