Norton Reveals New 650cc Scrambler Concept

Norton Motorcycles has revealed a new 650cc Scrambler concept.

British motorcycle manufacturer Norton Motorcycles has revealed a new 650cc Scrambler concept with classic looks and modern technology.

Recently, Norton Motorcycles has announced its joint venture with Kinetic Group to retail its motorcycles in India as well as other foreign markets such as Bangladesh, Indonesia and Bhutan.

Norton Motorcycles will be developing two variants of the Scrambler, the road-going street scrambler and the off-road dual-purpose variant. Both the models will be equipped with a 17-inch rear wheel. The front wheel of the road-going model will measure 18-inch, whereas the dual-purpose model will get a bigger 19-inch wheel.

Norton states that the design of the 650cc Scrambler will be sturdy enough to ride through rough terrain and even endure minor falls. The company will use top-spec components during the production of the motorcycle.

Norton Reveals New 650cc Scrambler Concept

The Norton Scrambler concept will draw power from a 650cc parallel-twin engine producing 100bhp. The same engine will be used in several other models with a wide band of power output ranging from 70bhp to a whopping 172bhp which will be a supercharged version.

On the design front, the Norton Scrambler features a classic look with the round headlamp and teardrop fuel tank design. The concept motorcycle will also be equipped with modern technology such as traction control and ABS.

The Norton Scrambler concept features a right mix of classic retro looks and modern design. The prominent highlight of the motorcycle is the new 650cc parallel-twin engine. Apart from the Scrambler, Norton is also working on a couple of other models which will use the same engine. With Norton set to enter India, we can also expect the 650cc Scrambler to be introduced in the country.
