The new scrambler motorcycle is based on the steel trellis frame with upside down forks at the front and monoshock at the rear.
The Leoncino Scrambler will draw power from a 499.6cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing 47bhp and 45Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The same engine does its duty on the TRK 502 adventure motorcycle which is also expected to be launched in India.
The Benelli Leoncino Scrambler features classic retro-style design elements and modern technology. The retro-styled motorcycles are gaining popularity in the Indian market and Benelli is trying to capture the segment. The motorcycle will be brought to India via CKD (Completely Knocked down) route which will keep the costs low.
