Aprilia SR 150 Race Edition Details; Launch Imminent
The Aprilia SR 150 Race Edition is expected to be a bit pricier than the regular version.
Piaggio Group launched its sports scooter, the Aprilia SR 150 in India last year with an unbelievable price tag of Rs 65,000. The model became the first crossover bike in the country, which delivers good power output and premium feel.
Add to that, the Aprilia SR 150 claimed the ‘Scooter of the Year' title at five occasions in the last two months. A few months back, the company also confirmed that it will soon introduce another model under the SR series and here it is, the new Aprilia SR 150 Race Edition.
The new SR 150 Race edition draws power the same 154.4cc single cylinder engine that delivers 10.4bhp of power and 11.4Nm of torque. The powerful engine is mated to a CVT gearbox.
The suspension duties are carried out by telescopic forks up front and at the rear a single-sided coil spring. The power scooter from Europe rides on alloy wheels that are shod with 120/70 tyres. The stopping power comes from a 220mm disc up front squeezed by a dual-piston Bybre caliper, along with a 140mm drum at the rear.
An image revealing the details of the new scooter was uploaded by AutosArena. The key features of the SR 150 Race edition are MotoGP-inspired racing decals and colour scheme, gold front brake caliper, red alloy wheel at the rear, red accents on the rear shock and also some additional accessories for anextra cost.
The Aprilia SR 150 Race Edition is expected to be a bit pricier than the regular version. The Italian scooter is manufactured at Piaggio's Baramati plant in Maharashtra, along with the Vespa scooters.
