The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani is priced at Rs. 12.04 lakh and the Vespa 70th anniversary special edition is priced at Rs. 96,500 (both prices ex-showroom, Pune).
The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani was developed jointly by Giorgio Armani and Piaggio in 2015 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the foundation of the Giorgio Armani fashion house and the 130th birthday of the Piaggio Group.
The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani scooter was designed by Emporio Armani and keeps with Armani's signature subdued colour palette with a special gray paint job featuring small specs of green which are visible only under particular light conditions.
The seats and the optional bag are done up in brown leather which provides a good contrast to the paint scheme.
Design highlights of the limited run scooter include a floating saddle hinged on a cast aluminium support, LED headlamp (with the iconic iconic Emporio Armani eagle logo sitting just above it) and taillight along with a LCD instrument cluster which can interface with smartphones.
The words Emporio Armani with the logo in between appear o the right flank of the scooter.
Piaggio also launched a special variant of the Vespa's VXL variant in the form of the 70th Anniversary edition of the Vespa brand.
The special edition features comes with an exclusive ‘Azzurro 70' body colour, the new brown leather seats with white stitch work and embossed 70th Anniversary logo in the seat.
