Rare Lotus C-01 Motorcycle Up For Auction; Ridden Only For 3.2 Kms
Lotus engineers had built only 100 units of the C-01 motorcycles back in 2014. Soon after Lotus revealed the C-01, all 100 models were sold out to two-wheeler collectors across the globe. Production units were limited, in an attempt to maintain the exclusivity of the Lotus Motorcycle.
Now, someone has decided to auction off their Lotus C-01 motorcycle. The Lotus C-01 will be available at the Mecum auction in Monterey, California. This is an unique opportunity for those who missed out on purchasing an all-new C-01 motorcycle.
When launched, the Lotus C-01 motorcycle was available at approximately Rs. 70 lakh. At the auction, Lotus C-01 is expected to be sold once again for upward of Rs. 2.5 crore. Surprisingly, the soon to be auctioned Lotus C-01 has been used only for 3.2 kilometres.
Powering the Lotus C-01 motorcycle is a 1,195cc V-twin, liquid-cooled engine sourced from the KTM RC8R superbike. Lotus engineers have retuned this engine, and the motorcycle tips the scale at 181kg.
