Mahindra GenZe Electric Two Wheeler Plant In Michigan, U.S.A
The Mahindra Group has inaugurated its first manufacturing facility in the U.S to produce its GenZe electric scooters. The new facility has come up in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The facility has a capacity to manufacture 9,000 units of the GenZe, but production can be ramped up to 20,000 vehicles when required.
Mahindra GenZe is an electric scooter developed entirely in Palo Alto, California. The vehicle has been designed to provide easy urban mobility and will also be targeted at students.

The GenZe has a top speed of 48 km/h and a range of 48 km/h. The electric scooter does not even require a license to ride in most states in the U.S.
The company also inaugurated the Mahindra North American Technical Center (MNATC) in Michigan. The new research and development facility currently has over 40 engineers, with the capacity to accommodate 125 employees.
The new R&D facility will carry our work to develop new products and technology for Mahindra's global markets. It will be focused on providing Mahindra with globally competitive product designs and technologies in support of its future product portfolio.
