The Toyota Vellfire is the brand’s latest premium MPV offering in the Indian market. The new premium uber-luxurious MPV from the Japanese car manufacturer comes with a lot of bling, power engine and a host of premium features and equipment, allowing customers to travel in luxury and style.
In terms of design, the Toyota Vellfire MPV offers a commanding presence on the roads. The MPV comes with large dimensions, plenty of chrome bits and a host of premium features and equipment.
Starting off with the front, the Toyota Vellfire MPV comes with chrome accents all around. The MPV receives sleek LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. The LED fog lamps are positioned lower down on the bumper. The front grille comes finished in chrome, along with the surrounds for the headlamps and the fog lamps. The front bumper also features a large central air intake as well.
The side and rear of the MPV continues to carry forward the premium appeal of the MPV. The Toyota Vellfire receives 17-inch hyper-chrome wheels, along with a thin chrome strip on the window line; adding to the premium nature of the MPV. The rear of the MPV also has a thick strip of chrome just above the LED taillights, which also houses the Toyota badging.
The interiors of the Toyota Vellfire carry forward the premium-theme as well. The cabin and the seats come finished in leather upholstery while the dashboard features soft-touch materials all around, along with a neatly integrated centre console, comprising a large touchscreen infotainment system.
The Toyota Vellfire is offered with a single engine option. This comes in the form of a BS6-compliant 2.5-litre petrol engine mated to two electric motors; one at each axle, essentially making it a electric four-wheel drive MPV.
The 2.5-litre petrol engine alone produces 115bhp at 4700rpm and 198Nm of torque at 2800 - 4000rpm. The electric motor on the front axle produces another 150kW power at 4800rpm while that on the rear axle churns out 50kW of power at 4608rpm. The hybrid powertrain is mated to a standard automatic gearbox.
Toyota claims that the Vellfire offers an ARAI-Certified mileage of 16.35km/l. This is pretty impressive considering the 2815 kg gross vehicle weight and dimensions.
Being a premium MPV, the Toyota Vellfire offers a host of features and equipment as standard. Some of the key features on the Toyota Vellfire MPV include LED lamps all-around, premium leather upholstery, retro-fit electronically-adjustable leg supports, heated and cooling features on even the middle-row captain seats, twin-sunroof, three-zone climate control, roof-mounted 13-inch entertainment seats for the middle and third-row passengers, 16-colour choice ambient lighting and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; to name a few.
