Tata Hexa Involves In A High-Speed Accident In Mumbai: Two Lives Lost
Tata Hexa Crashes In Mumbai: A Tata Hexa met with an accident at Lalbaug flyover, in Mumbai. The crash happened last Sunday and took the lives of two youths.
The incident took place at around 4:15 in the morning. The deceased have been identified as Sagar Gaikwad (21) and Sachin Gadhari (23). Both were travelling towards South Mumbai. The SUV was driven by Sagar while Sachin occupied the passenger seat.
As per reports, the speeding Hexa which was going way past the 100km/h mark, rear-ended a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) road-sweeping truck. The truck was moving at a low pace since it was in operation.
Upon hitting the truck, the driver lost control and crashed into a nearby divider. Locals and passersby rushed towards the scene and tried to help the victims. But the doors of the SUV were jammed.
They managed to pull out Sagar from the wreckage. While attempting to rescue Sachin, the vehicle caught fire. The Kalachowki police stated that the fire was caused by a spark from a cable wire, passing through the divider.
The Fire and Rescue Department arrived at the location, but it was too late. The 23-year-old died at the spot.
Sadly, Sagar also succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital and was declared dead on arrival.
Dilip Ugale, Senior police inspector of Kalachowki police station has stated that they have filed an FIR in this regard. The police have registered a case against Sagar under section the following sections of the penal code: 304(A) – death by negligence; 279 – rash driving on public roads; and, 427 – mischief causing damage.
Thoughts On The Tata Hexa Crash In Mumbai
In this freak accident that took the lives of two, there is no pointing in commenting about the car's build quality or anything of that sort. This was a clear indication of carelessness from the driver's side. The Tata Hexa is a capable and comfortable SUV. The 7-seater can also do high speeds with relative ease.
But is it recommended to do so in an SUV, and that too on city limits? No!
