Pope Francis Gifted Lamborghini Huracan RWD — 'Holy' Raging Bull To Be Auctioned For Charity
Pope Francis has been gifted a Huracan RWD by Lamborghini which will be auctioned off for charity.
Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church has been gifted a rear-wheel-drive Lamborghini Huracan by the Italian supercar marque.
The Pontiff was given the keys to the Lamborghini Huracan whose white and gold theme matched his cassack perfectly in front of the Vatican's Saint Martha Guesthouse where he resides. Pope Francis blessed the Huracan and autographed the bonnet of the raging bull.
The Huracan RWD gifted to Pope Francis was produced by Ad Personam, Lamborghini's customization department. The one-off Lamborghini is painted Bianco Monocerus (white) and features Giallo Tiberino (yellow) stripes that run along the body. The Huracan RWD's colour scheme of the Pope's Lamborghini pays homage to the colours of the flag of Vatican City.

However, those hopeful of seeing his holiness pull off a few lairy drifts behind the wheel of the Huracan RWD on the cobblestones of the Vatican will be left disappointed. Pope Francis' Huracan will be auctioned off for charity on 12 May 2018 with the proceeds set to be given to four of his favoured charities.
The three charities include a fund set up to rebuild homes and churches for Christians forced out of Iraq by Islamic State terrorists. The second charity helps migrant women who are trafficked and forced into prostitution while the final two provide medical aid in Africa.
The Pope's signature on the Huracan's bonnet and the fact he blessed his car should see the value of the Italian raging bull break a few glass ceilings at the auction on May 18, 2018.
In 2013, the Pope was gifted a Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide which sold at auction, a year later for $327,000 (Rs 2.13 crore). The Dyna Super Glide has a retail price of $13,000 (Rs 8.49 lakhs).
The Huracan RWD which is priced at Rs 3.45 Crore in India is powered by a 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine producing 572bhp and 540Nm of torque. Power and torque is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

However, we have to admit, seeing the Pope drift the rear-wheel-drive Lamborghini would have been a 'Holy Smokes' moment for sure.
