Miracle On The Highway - Car Splits Tractor In Half
In an accident near Tirupati, a Mercedes-Benz SUV splits a tractor in half. Miraculously, everyone including the driver of the tractor involved in the accident with minor injuries.
The accident took place on Monday on the Chandragiri bypass near Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Moreover, it is also worth mentioning that the tractor involved in the accident was driving on the wrong side of the road.
While no one sustained any serious injuries, the Mercedes-Benz SUV involved in the accident proved its mettle and build quality. However, the same cannot be said about the tractor as it was split in half.
Looking at the images of the accident, we can see that the tractor involved in the accident seems to be carrying some kind of soil. Apart from that, the front left side of the Mercedes-Benz SUV seems to be fully damaged.
Diving into the details, the Mercedes SUV involved in the accident is the GLE 450 AMG Coupe. Speaking about this model, the SUV sports a 3.0-litre, twin-turbo, petrol engine with 362bhp of peak power and 520Nm of peak torque. Moreover, the power and torque from this engine is channelled to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Moreover, the GLE 450 AMG Coupe is equipped with features such as ABS with EBD, traction control (TC), electronic stability program (ESP), electronic brake assist (EBA), 360-degree surround-view camera, and more.
In recent times, questions were raised about the safety of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in India after the high-profile accident that resulted in the death of former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry.
Speaking about the accident involving Cyrus Mistry, it was reported that Mr Mistry was seated on the back seat of a Mercedes Benz GLC SUV and the accident is said to have taken place around 2.30 pm.
According to the sources, Cyrus Mistry was travelling from Udawada to Mumbai along with Jehangir Pandole, Anahita Pandole, and Darius Pandole. It was also reported that the car was driven by Anahita Pandole, a Mumbai-based gynaecologist, and the accident happened just 110km away from Mumbai.
It was later revealed that Jehangir Pandole had also died in the accident and he was sitting next to Cyrus Mistry. Moreover, it is also worth mentioning that both the deceased were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident, which resulted in them sustaining mortal injuries.
Whereas, Darius Pandole and Anahita Pandole survived the accident with injuries. However, both were sitting on the front seats and were wearing seatbelts.
Thoughts About The Accident
Looking at the images of the accident, it is a miracle that no one sustained any major injuries. Moreover, the accident has further highlighted the effectiveness of wearing seatbelts and also cemented the reputation of Mercedes-Benz as makers of one of the safest cars.
