Ultra-Rare Koenigsegg Agera RS Crashes

The ultra-rare Koenigsegg Agera RS crashed while testing on a wet track.

Koenigsegg has confirmed that one of its ultra-rare Agera RS hypercars has crashed in Sweden while testing in Trollhattan, Sweden.

The Agera RS crashed while undergoing testing at a track in Trollhattan owned by National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) which also owns the SAAB brand. The accident occurred when track conditions were wet. The test driver and the passenger were rushed to the hospital, but both were discharged.

Koenigsegg is using the NEVS track for testing, test driving and to prepare its cars for the US market, in parallel with its testing facilities in Ängelholm, so it quite safe to assume that the crashed car is headed to an owner in the United States.

Thankfully for the owner, Koenigsegg states that while the bodywork of the Agera RS is damaged, initial inspection has revealed that there is no structural damage.

Koenigsegg will only produce 25 units of the Agera RS hypercars. Hopefully for the Amercian owner of this crashed Agera RS, the 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine will soon be able to release all of its 1160bhp and 1280Nm of torque to the rear wheels soon and vent its fury at the world.
