India’s First Hyperloop Line To Connect Amaravati And Vijayawada
India will get its first Hyperloop line between Amaravati and Vijayawada.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh is planning to bring the Hyperloop to India. Yes, you read it right, Elon Musk's radical concept is coming to India.
Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) will launch India's first Hyperloop line which will connect Amaravati and Vijayawada.
HTT has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to connect two cities. The new transportation system will convert an hour of a trip into a short five-minute ride.
Apart from that the project is primarily funded by private investors under the Public Private Partnership (PPP). It is also expected to create over 2,500 employment opportunities in the country.

The Phase 1 of the project will see HTT conduct a six-month feasibility study starting from October. The company will work with public and private partners to analyse the cityscapes to plan the best route between the two cities.
After the feasibility test, under the Phase 2 of the project, HTT will build India's first Hyperloop. It is different from rail transport as it is two or three times faster than the fastest high-speed rail. In India, Hyperloop can reach speeds up to 1,100km/h on certain routes.
HTT will be assisted by Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board with all the regulatory requirements to implement the Hyperloop. Chairman & Co-founder, HTT, Bibop Gresta said, "We are extremely delighted to have entered into a MoU with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to bring the HTT Hyperloop to India."
