Indian Doctor Receives Salutations From 100 Car Convoy For Treating Covid-19 Patients In The US
An Indian born doctor based out of the United States of America has received what could possibly be the highest honour that one can possibly be bestowed with — the appreciation, admiration, and gratefulness of the community she resides in.
Dr Uma Madhusudhan, who is originally a resident of Mysore in Karnataka, has been heavily vested in treating Covid-19 infected people. Her efforts have saved over 200 lives in the US, and a video clip showing the local community parading in front of her home, displays the respect that the American public reserves for domestic heros.
The video shows the doctor outside her home while a convoy of civilian, police, and emergency service vehicles, with horns and sirens blaring, passing by her. Several folks also exit their vehicles to place ‘Thank You' placards for her. Several of Dr Madhusudhan's neighbours are seen holding ‘Thank You' cards as well.
The doctor can be seen thanking everyone participating in the parade. She has been working overtime at the South Windsor Hospital to try saving everyone's lives.
The Coronavirus pandemic has spread rather rapidly across the world and has affected millions of lives. Thousands have died because of the Covid-19 virus, and thousands more are admitted at hospitals. Treating these patients are doctors and nurses working round-the-clock.
Thoughts About Dr Madhusudhan Being Honoured By The Community For Her Work In Saving Lives
Doctors around the world have been subjects of praise, appreciation, and honour for the kind of work they have been doing to treat Coronavirus patients. In fact, many doctors have put their lives on the line, many have been infected, and many have lost their lives in the war against the highly contagious virus.
We are proud that Dr Madhusudhan was honoured by the community she lives in, in the United States. It shows just how much doctors, nurses, and other emergency personnel are respected in the West.
Meanwhile in India, doctors and nurses have been beaten up, and have been physically and verbally abused by people for trying to save Covid-19 hosts. While the country has displayed economic progress over the years, there is a deeper level of illiteracy and ignorance in the masses. Instead of respecting and appreciating our medial and emergency personnel, we're throwing punches and chopping hands. Shame on you India.
