B Ravi Pillai Becomes First Indian To Own The Airbus H145 Helicopter: Costs Around Rs 100 Crore
B Ravi Pillai becomes the first Indian to own the super luxurious Airbus H145 helicopter. The Airbus H145 is said to be worth around Rs 100 Crore and Mr Ravi Pillai became the proud owner of this helicopter on March 20, 2022.
It is also worth mentioning that Mr Ravi Pillai is the chairman of the RP Group of companies. Moreover, Mr Ravi Pillai is worth more than $2.5 billion and employs around 70,000 people in his company.
In addition to being the first Indian to own the Airbus H145 helicopter in India, the Airbus H145 helicopter purchased by Mr Ravi Pillai is also the first five-bladed Airbus H145 helicopter in Asia.
According to sources, the Airbus H145 helicopter purchased by Mr Ravi Pillai was delivered by Airbus in Kovalam and took its first post-delivery flight with the 68-year old billionaire on board to The Raviz Ashtamudi.
Moreover, the RP Group has their own helipads at three different locations in Kerala - The Raviz Kovalam in Thiruvananthapuram, The Raviz Kadavu in Kozhikode, and The Raviz Ashtamudi in Kollam.
The Airbus H145 helicopter is available in different configurations such as 7 passengers, 8 passengers, 10 passengers. Emergency Medical Services, Law Enforcement and a few more.
According to a few sources, the Airbus H145 helicopter purchased by Mr Ravi Pillai is a 7-seater with many convenience aiding and luxurious features.
While the Airbus H145 helicopters can be customised heavily, the standard Airbus H145 helicopter sports a 723kg fuel tank, which helps the helicopter manage around 650kms of range or 215 minutes of endurance.
Apart from that, the Airbus H145 helicopter can take-off with 3,800kg of maximum load and it is powered by 2 Safran Helicopter Engines Arriel 2E producing a maximum takeoff power of 894.46bhp.
Thanks to this powertrain setup, the standard Airbus H145 helicopter can travel at a recommended cruise speed of 241km/h and operate at temperatures ranging from -45°C to 50°C.
