Tata Harrier, Safari Red Dark Edition Launch In March – ADAS, Bigger Screen & More
Though Tata Motors showcased quite a few products at the Auto Expo 2023, a few people were slightly disappointed as Tata Motors did not showcase the facelifted versions of the Harrier and Safari SUVs.
However, Tata Motors did showcase yet another special edition of the Harrier and Safari SUVs at the Auto Expo 2023 and these special edition models could almost be considered as facelifted models on the basis of the additional features it comes with.
Diving into details, the Red Dark edition of the Tata Harrier and Tata Safari SUVs pack in quite a few new features including a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), 360-degree surround-view camera, a fully digital instrument cluster, and 6-way power adjustable driver seat with memory function.
In terms of distinguishing features on the exterior, the Red Dark edition of both the Tata Safari and Tata Harrier SUV get special Oberon Black paint along with red brake calipers and a subtle red insert on the front grille. Furthermore, both these special edition SUVs get 18-inch black alloy wheels as well.
In addition to the updated features, the interior of the new Red Dark edition of both the Tata Safari and Tata Harrier SUVs now features a very sporty-looking Red seat upholstery and unique-looking Grey-coloured trim on the dashboard. Furthermore, the interior of the special edition SUVs also features Red leatherette grab handles and Piano-black inserts on the steering wheel.
That being said, the upcoming new Red Dark editions of the Tata Safari and Harrier SUVs remain mechanically identical to the respective standard variants of the SUVs. This means the special edition SUVs continues to be powered by the same 2.0-litre, turbocharged, diesel engines with 168bhp of peak power and 350Nm of peak torque.

The upcoming Red Dark edition of the Tata Harrier and Tata Safari SUVs could have been considered as facelifted models if the automaker had made any design change on the exterior of both these SUVs. However, the new special edition of both these SUVs pack in enough new features to attract many new buyers. Moreover, we also expect these new features to be part of the facelifted model as well.
