Log9 Materials Partners With Pulse Energy – India’s First WhatsApp Payment Gateway For EV Charging
Bengaluru-based advanced battery tech startup Log9 Materials has partnered with EV SaaS startup Pulse Energy, to launch India's first WhatsApp-based payments at EV charging stations.
Diving into details, this new partnership between Log9 Mobility (A fully owned subsidiary of Log9 Materials) and Pulse Energy will enable EV users to seamlessly make payments at any Log9 InstaCharge partnered charging station via WhatsApp's easy scan.
Using this technology, Log9 Mobility is planning to overcome some important hurdles in the EV industry. Mainly, this new partnership is expected to increase the utilisation of fast chargers and facilitate a one-stop payment solution at EV charging stations. It is also worth mentioning that the WhatsApp payment option will initially be available 3W EV users.
That being said, the WhatsApp payment option will be later expanded to accommodate 2W and 4W users as well. The partnership also claims that EV users browse through a multitude of charging station apps to discover EV charging stations and lose money if they load it into the wrong app.
Speaking on the new partnership, Mr Kartik Hajela, COO & Co-founder of Log9 Mobility said, "This tie-up aligns with our stance of pioneering responsible energy, Log9's core belief. I am certain that the partnership with Pulse Energy will be instrumental in offering impeccable charging experience to EV users, eventually leading to the much-needed expansion of the charging infrastructure and EV mobility in India."
Furthermore, Pulse Energy is offering a platform for 550+ fast charging points, facilitating interoperability between charge point operators across the country. Apart from that, Log9 Mobility brought in the BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) and MaaS (Mobility-as-a-Service) models to ensure seamless adoption of EVs in the logistics sector.
According to Log9 Materials, the MaaS model focuses on collaborations with leading OEMs to provide 2Ws, 3Ws, and 4Ws EVs InstaCharged by Log9. On the other hand, their BaaS model is a platform that offers EV batteries on lease for 2Ws, 3Ws, and 4Ws electric vehicles.
