Hyundai has updated the Creta SUV for 2023 along with the Alcazar SUV in India. The updated iterations of these new SUVs feature a new diesel engine and an updated equipment list.
Diving into details, the latest iterations of the Hyundai of the Creta SUV and Alcazar SUV now feature RDE-compliant diesel powertrain and sport Stop and Go technology along with E20 fuel compatibility (petrol engines).
However, despite the update, the engine specification of the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine remains more or less similar with 113.5bhp of peak power and 250Nm of peak torque. Furthermore, gearbox options also remain the same with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic unit.
Also, as mentioned above, the equipment list of both Hyundai Creta and Alcazar have been revised as part of the update. Starting with the Hyundai Creta, the South Korean automaker's best-selling SUV now gets 6 airbags as standard along with other features such as rear disc brakes, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), 60:40 split seats and a few more.
Other than that, Hyundai has also hiked the prices for the Creta SUV in India with the introduction of the updated iteration. Moreover, it is worth mentioning that the prices for the petrol-powered versions of the Creta SUV have been hiked up to Rs 20,000, whereas prices for all diesel variants of the Creta SUV receive a price hike of Rs 45,000.
On the other hand, prices for the updated Hyundai Alcazr SUV starts from Rs 16.10 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the base petrol variant and goes all the way up to Rs 20.85 lakh for the top-spec Signature (O) MT diesel variant of the SUV.
