The all-new 2023 BMW X1 is offered in two variant levels - sDrive18i xLine (petrol) & sDrive18d M Sport. The 2023 BMW X1 sDrive18i xLine is priced at Rs 45.90 lakh while the X1 sDrive18d M Sport is priced at Rs 47.90 lakh (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom, India).
2023 BMW X1 Specs, Mileage & Dimensions
The 2023 BMW X1 sDrive18i xLine is powered by a turbocharged 1,499cc three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 134bhp from 4,400rpm to 6,500rpm and 230Nm of peak torque from 1,500 to 4,000rpm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The BMW X1 sDrive18i xLine goes from 0-100km/h in 9.2 seconds and has a top speed of 208km/h. The all-new petrol BMW X1 delivers a mileage of 16.3km/l (ARAI).
The all-new BMW X1 sDrive18d M Sport is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 147.5bhp and 360Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The 2023 BMW X1 sDrive18d M Sport goes from 0-100km/h in 8.9 seconds and has a top speed of 210km/h. The new 2023 X1 diesel delivers a mileage of 20.37km/l (ARAI).
The third generation BMW X1, which was introduced to the world last year, is 4,500mm long, 1,845mm wide and 1,642mm tall and sports a 2,692mm long wheelbase. The third-gen BMW X1 is 61mm longer, 24mm wider and 30mm taller and has a 22mm longer wheelbase than its predecessor.
The new X1 offers 205mm of ground clearance. The petrol version of the X1 for India weighs in at 1,500kg while its diesel sibling is 75 kilogrammes heavier at 1,575kg.
2023 BMW X1 Design & Features
The third-generation BMW X1 has undergone quite a few changes that help differentiate it from its predecessor. These include larger kidney grilles at the front with slimmer adaptive LED headlights. The front bumper is also different and features sleeker intakes on the edges and a large central air intake.
At the sides, the extra length is visible in the long roofline while the squared-off wheel arches play host to 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, there is an integrated spoiler element and new 3D LED tail lights. The BMW badge can be found under the raked rear windscreen while the X1 and variant badge are found on the lower sections of the tailgate which opens up to reveal a 476-litre boot.
The cabin of the 2023 BMW X1 is where the major changes from the previous generation of the SUV can be found. The single curved pane of glass on the dashboard plays host to a 10.25-inch driver's display and the 10.7-inch infotainment touchscreen with the latest BMW iDrive system with OS8.
Both variants of the new 2023 BMW X1 for India get sports seats as standard with the diesel M Line version getting Active seats for the driver and front passenger that offer massage functionality. The new X1 diesel also allows passengers at the rear to adjust their seats forwards and backwards by 130mm for maximum comfort.
The 2023 BMW X1 also gets an automatic two-zone A/C setup, ambient lighting with six dimmable light settings, a large glass sunroof and a wireless charger to charge up your mobile phones.
