Auto Expo 2023: Top 5 EVs – Harrier EV, Seal & More
Ahead of the Auto Expo 2023, there were a lot of expectations floating around the biennial event regarding car makers and their latest electric vehicles (EVs).
That being said, the expectations were more than met as all major car makers showcased at least one electric vehicle at the Auto Expo 2023. As such, here are the top 5 EVs from the Auto Expo 2023.
Hyundai Ioniq 5
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 was launched on the second day of the Auto Expo 2023 in the presence of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Priced at 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the Hyundai Ioniq 5 undercuts the Kia EV6 by more than Rs 15 lakh despite both EVs featuring the same platform.
Tata Harrier EV
Tata surprised everyone at the Auto Expo 2023 by showcasing the electric version of the Harrier SUV. In fact, the electric version of the Tata Harrier SUV features quite a few design updates and looks a lot more attractive and contemporary. Apart from that, it would be a nice opportunity for Tata Motors to introduce an AWD model in the Harrier lineup with the introduction of the Harrier EV.
Maruti Suzuki eVX
While every soul at the Maruti Suzuki pavilion was waiting for the unveiling of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny SUV, the Indo-Japanese automaker shook everyone by unveiling the eVX electric SUV concept. This concept features a dedicated EV platform and the model is set for launch in 2025.
Tata Avinya EV Concept
Tata Motors showcased its Avinya EV concept at the Auto Expo 2023. Moreover, the model gained a lot of attraction at the event. Diving into details, the Tata Avinya EV Concept is expected to enter into production in 2025 and it also features a bespoke electric platform.
BYD Seal
The new BYD Seal is another electric vehicle that attracted a lot of interest among the general public at the Auto Expo 2023. Speaking about the BYD Seal, this is an electric sedan that rivals the likes of other EVs such as the Tesla Model 3.
