Toyota Land Cruiser LC300: Everything You Need To Know
Toyota has finally launched the much-awaited Land Cruiser LC300 SUV in the International markets. Now, the Japanese automobile giant is looking forward to launching the SUV in India.
India Launch & Bookings
We expect Toyota to launch the much-awaited Land Cruiser LC300 SUV in India by September this year. However, the first batch of the Land Cruiser LC300 SUV has already been sold out and Toyota is yet to reopen the bookings at present.
The bookings for the Land Cruiser LC300 was closed temporarily because of the high demand for the SUV in both domestic and international markets. In some markets, the waiting period for Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 has reached up to 4 years.
Generation
The Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 is the latest generation of the Land Cruiser lineup of SUVs and the model is in its sixth generation.
Design
The new Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 comes with an evolutionary design to its immediate predecessor, and the latest iteration looks like a facelifted version of the Land Cruiser LC200.
However, the overall design language and elements carry a bit more sophistication with its sleeker-looking headlamps and taillamps, front grille, door handles and much more. In addition to that, the interior of the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 looks a lot more futuristic compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser LC200.
Dimensions & Platform
The new Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 is built on an all-new GA-F platform. As a result, the new Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 is much lighter than its predecessor and the weight distribution of the latest generation of Land Cruiser has also improved.
In terms of dimension, the size of the Land Cruiser LC300 is almost identical to the Land Cruiser LC200. In fact, the wheelbase of the Land Cruiser LC300 is identical to the wheelbase of the Land Cruiser LC200 at 2,850mm. Apart from that, the Land Cruiser LC300 is 10mm wider and 5mm shorter than the previous iteration of the Land Cruiser.
Powertrain
In the new Land Cruise LC300, Toyota has ditched the previous powertrains options that were once available with the 200 series Land Cruiser model.
The Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 now comes with two V6 engine options. The 3.5-litre, turbocharged V6 petrol engine makes 409.32bhp of peak power and 650Nm of peak torque.
On the other hand, the 3.3-litre turbocharged V6 diesel engine puts out 305bhp of peak power and 700Nm of peak torque. Moreover, both the engine options come mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission as standard.
Features
The new Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 comes with a long list of features to make every drive a little bit more convenient and easier. The SUV comes with all the latest features such as a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 4-zone automatic climate control, heated steering wheel, moonroof, heated and ventilated seats, wireless charging, multiple USB charging ports, 14-speaker JBL premium audio system, and many more.
