Toyota Pulls The Plug On The Innova Crysta – Removed From Official Website

The Japanese automotive giant, Toyota has now shocked the Indian automobile market by removing the Innova Crysta from its official website.

What is more surprising is that the decision to remove the Innova Crysta from the company's official website comes just days after the manufacturer unveiled the Innova Hycross in the country.

Toyota Pulls The Plug On The Innova Crysta

Furthermore, Toyota India recently launched a new limited-edition model of its petrol-powered Innova Crysta MPV in the country to attract more customers to its showrooms and improve the overall sales figures of the company as the diesel version of the MPV was discontinued temporarily.

In a bid to attract more customers during the festive season, the new limited-edition Toyota Innova Crysta was fitted with plenty of additional features, and it was also made available in both manual and automatic transmissions to attract a wider set of audience as well.

As part of the new limited-edition pack, the MPV now received features such as a 360-degree camera, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), air purifier, a wireless charger, and a set of illuminated scuff plates with 16-colour illumination. However, the icing on the cake was that the limited-edition Innova Crysta MPV was sold without charging any premium.

The petrol powertrain in the Toyota Innova Crysta is a 2.7-litre, naturally-aspirated unit with 166bhp of peak power and 245Nm of peak torque. While this powertrain was on the thirstier side in terms of fuel efficiency, the refinement of the petrol engine was immediately noticeable.

That being said, the Toyota Innova Crysta has now been replaced by the Innova Hycross on the official website itself, and we expect more Innova owners to do the same by buying the upcoming Innova Hycross. Furthermore, we expect the Innova Hycross to have a wider customer base as well.

One of the biggest highlights of the Innova Hycross has been its hybrid powertrain. Thanks to this hybrid powertrain, the upcoming Innova Crysta is not only the most fuel-efficient iteration of the Innova model range in India, but is t is also the quickest as well.

Thoughts About Toyota Removing Innova Crysta From Official Website

It is not surprising to see Toyota removing the Innova Crysta from its official website as the upcoming Innova Hycross clearly seems to have an edge over its predecessor, and the fact that the Innova Hycross will also be offered with a petrol-only powertrain makes the Innova Crysta ever more redundant.
