Tata Tiago And Tata Tigor Top Variants Updated: New Features And Colours Added
Tata Motors has recently updated the top-end variants of the Tata Tiago hatchback and the Tata Tigor compact sedan. The latest update to the duo brings more features and colour options to the table.
On the Tata Tiago, the latest update adds a new colour, Midnight Plum, which is exclusive to the top-end XZ+ trim. Apart from the exclusive colour option, the Tata Tiago XZ+ trim also gets LED DRLs, Projector Headlamps, and new Chrome elements on all sides.
On the inside, the updated XZ+ variant of the Tata Tiago also gets a new dual-tone interior with a black and beige finish for an upmarket look.
Whereas the update on the Tata Tigor XZ+ trim level also adds a new colour option - Magnetic. However, this option is available as monotone and dual-tone, where the dual-tone option adds the Infinity Black Roof for a contrasting look.
Apart from this, the updated version of the Tata Tigor XZ+ trim level adds new features such as rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, sonic silver alloy wheels, dual-tone interiors, chrome door handles on the inside, and new fabric seats.
Apart from that, the Tata Tiago and Tigor are some of the safest hatchbacks and compact sedans in the country with a 4-star safety rating from the Global-NCAP.
Both the Tata Tiago hatchback and Tata Tigor is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated Revotron petrol engine and this engine produces 84.48bhp and 113Nm of torque. Both the cars also with a choice of 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes.
Tata Motors has also loaded the new Tata Tiago and Tata Tigor with many features such as a digital instrument console, a large 7-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, multi-function steering wheel, automatic climate control, natural voice recognition function for voice commands, smart keyless entry, push-button start/stop, power-operated ORVMs, and many more.
Prices for the Tata Tiago starts from Rs 5.19 lakh (ex-showroom, India), whereas the prices for the Tata Tigor starts from Rs 5.67 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Apart from that, Tata Motors has also officially launched the CNG models of the Tiago and the Tigor in India. Prices for the CNG version of the Tiago and the Tigor starts at Rs 6.09 lakh and Rs 7.69 lakh, respectively. All prices are (ex-showroom, India).
With the launch of the CNG variants of the Tata Tiago and the Tata Tigor, the running costs of these cars will become even more affordable than ever before.
Both the Tata Tiago and Tata Tigor are powered by the same tried-and-tested 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated engine. However, few changes will be made to this powertrain to run on CNG and as a result, the engine produces slightly lower power and torque outputs at 73bhp and 95Nm of torque
Unlike the petrol-powered variants, the CNG versions of the Tata Tiago and Tata Tigor come with the 5-speed manual transmission as standard.
Apart from that, Tata Motors has also re-tuned the suspension of CNG variants of the Tata Tiago and Tata Tigor to cope with the added weight of the factory-fitted CNG kit.
