Tata Safari, Harrier, & Nexon Jet Editions Launched - Prices Start At Rs 12.13 Lakh

The newly launched Jet Edition SUVs are special edition models similar to the previously launched special edition SUVs such as the Dark Edition and Kaziranga Edition SUVs. As such, the newly launched Jet Edition SUVs feature cosmetic changes only and no mechanical changes were made to these new special edition models.

Also, unlike the previous special edition models, only the Tata Nexon, Tata Nexon EV, Tata Harrier and Tata Safari models are available in Jet Edition.

It is also worth mentioning that the newly launched Jet Edition variants of the Tata Nexon, Tata Nexon EV, Tata Harrier and Tata Safari are based on the top-spec trim levels. Moreover, common to all Jet Edition SUVs is the "Starlight" dual-tone paint finish with a bronze body and a silver roof.

To make the Jet Edition models a bit more substantial and special, all the Jet Edition models get Black alloy wheels and silver skid plates at both ends. On the other hand, the interior reflects the exterior theme with dual-tone (Black and White) colour scheme with premium-looking Bronze trim and stitching.

Overall with the new "Starlight" exterior paint, platinum-silver roof and new interior trim, the Jet Editions of the Tata Nexon, Tata Nexon EV, Tata Harrier, and Tata Safari look very sophisticated and premium. In fact, the interior of the Jet Edition models lifts the ambience by a couple of notches.

As part of the Jet Edition, the Tata Harrier Jet Edition and Tata Safari Jet Edition SUVs now feature added safety systems such as Driver Doze off alert, Panic Brake Alert, After Impact Braking and all-wheel disc brakes. In addition to these, the Tata Harrier Jet Edition and Tata Safari Jet Edition SUVs also feature USB-C charging ports in all rows.

Other than these features, the newly launched Tata Harrier Jet Edition and Tata Safari Jet Edition SUVs also get an electronic parking brake, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, air purifier, and wireless charger.

For Tata Nexon, the Jet Edition features additional features such as ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, an air purifier, and a wireless charger. However, it is worth mentioning that some of these features are already seen in Nexon's other special edition models.

Coming to the prices, the Jet Edition of the Tata Nexon SUV ranges between Rs 12.13 lakh (ex-showroom, India) to Rs 14.08 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Compared to regular models, the Jet Edition of the Nexon demands a premium of Rs 33,000.

The Tata Harrier Jet Edition is available in two variants - XZ+ and XZA+. While the Tata Harrier Jet Edition XZ+ is priced at Rs 20.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and the Tata Harrier Jet Edition XZA+ is priced at Rs 22.20 lakh (ex-showroom, India) - Which is around Rs 50,000 more expensive than the equivalent standard variants.

On the other hand, the Jet Edition of Tata Safari demands the least price increase over the standard variants at Rs 30,000 and the models are available in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations. Prices for the Tata Safari Jet Edition start from Rs 21.45 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

Thoughts About Tata Motors Jet Edition SUVs

The Jet Edition SUVs feel very premium with their dual-tone "Starlight" exterior colour and its exclusive interior theme. Moreover, the additional features more than justify the small premium pricing. Overall, the Jet Edition SUVs do feel very premium and a step above the standard variants.
